We met Kay, Larry and family when Larry was pastor at the Berean Baptist church in Florissant CO. Kay's Aunt Dixie Geddes and my mom were best friends and Dixie drove my mom from IA to CO to visit us. She mentioned she had a niece living in the mountains and would like to see her. And we shared a last name, spelled differently.
So we packed a picinic and drove up into the mountains. That was the first of many visits between our families. We had kids the same ages, so while they played Kay and I would enjoy sharing homeschool ideas, recipes and just being sisters-in-Christ. We sure missed them when they moved to Iowa!
Kay had a kind and generous spirit and a great sense of humor. She loved sharing funny stories.
Kay will be greatly missed till we have our longed for reunion in Heaven.
