To the Gooch family and especially to Kathy and Kim. Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of Jody. I remember visiting her and Dave in your home and talking to her by telephone when she met with my Dad on the Hall of Fame committee. She was always so pleasant and I'm sure that you and the Newton community will feel her loss greatly. I hope that the memories that you have of her will comfort you. Uncle David and Aunt Jody took us out to Grinnell when we were back in Iowa for David’s 90th Birthday. What a wonderful time we had. Aunt Jody was always the kindest, sweetest, and most loving woman I think that I have ever known. A truly beautiful woman inside and out. My mom just received a beautiful birthday card from her yesterday, sent in the mail just 2 days before her death. I will forever miss her deeply. ❤️ Heaven has gained a truly beautiful soul.
