Obituary of Donna May Fink

Donna May Fink, the daughter of Donivan Ray and Ethel May (Mackey) Hannagan, was born October 15, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa. Donna graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1964. She went on to attend DMACC and also received two years of Salvation Army Training. On October 24, 1970 Donna was united in marriage with Terrance Ray Fink in Newton, Iowa. Donna had worked at a secretary in various businesses. She received the rank of Captain in the Salvation Army. Donna was involved in Women's ministries at the Army and was also a member of the Salvation Army Band. She enjoyed collecting Pepsi items, playing the piano for the Salvation Army and loved animals. Donna was promoted to glory on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Heritage Manor in Newton. She was 67 years old. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Terrance; and her mother-in-law, Mary Jane Fink. Those left to honor Donna's memory include her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Fink and David Wendell; her sisters-in-law, Wanda (David) Mills, Dianne (Jack) Mills, Kathy Bechel and Robin Heck; several cousins and her friends from the Salvation Army. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 17th at the Salvation Army Citadel in Newton. The family will greet friends following the services. Memorials in Donna's name may be designated to the Salvation Army and may be left at the Salvation Army or at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home.
