Obituary of Connie Jo Bisom

Connie Jo Bisom, the daughter of Vernon J. and Margaret L. Butler Bisom, was born July 3, 1938 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from the Newton Senior High School in 1958. Connie was married to LaVerne C. Schakel in 1958 and was later married to Al Graves. Connie had worked for many years as an in home care giver. In her spare time, Connie enjoyed reading.
Connie died on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Careage of Newton. She was 71 years old. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Stith.
Those left to honor Connie's memory include her sons, Merlyn Schakel and Chad Schakel of Newton, Iowa; her daughter, Tammy Wickett of Monroe, Iowa; her six grandchildren; her brother, John L. Bisom; and her sister, Becky Long.
