Obituary of Betty Jane Bradley

Betty Jane Bradley, the daughter of Fred Allen and Marie Frances Walton Mulkins, was born February 24, 1922 in Dixon, Il. She graduated from the Dixon Senior High with the class of 1940. On May 17, 1947, Betty was united in marriage with Neil Edward Bradley in Dixon. Betty devoted her life to her husband and family. She had worked at the Fashionette in Newton for 17 years. She retired in 1988. Betty was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton and a 30 + year member of the choir. She enjoyed square dancing and round dancing and roller skating. She was also a member of the Newton Squares and several bridge clubs. Betty died on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center. She was 87 years old. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neil, Sr. on October 27, 2006; a son, Neil, Jr.; one sister and two brothers. Those left to honor Bettys memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Judy Bradley of Newton, Ia; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
