Newton
Ricky J. Mundell, 45, the son of Hancle Ben Mundell and Mary Lou (Vasquez) Maine, was born January 7, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Des Moines' area schools. A longtime resident of the Des Moines area, he moved to Newton, Iowa area in 2006.
Ricky loved his girls and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was employed as a cook at local restaurants.
Ricky died on Friday morning, November 14, 2008, at his home. Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton is entrusted with the arrangements.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughters: Jennifer, Missy, Stephanie, Emilee and Halee; his mother, Mary Lou Maine of Newton; and his brother, Tim (Betty) Vasquez of Des Moines.
Memorials in Ricky's name are being designated and may be left at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home.
