Obituary of Stephen Joe Jaennette

Stephen J. Jaennette Newton Memorial Funeral services for Stephen Joe Jaennette of Newton, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton. A visitation time with the family will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home on Saturday. Stephen Joe Jaennette, 60, the son of Philip Neal and Maxine V. (Hassig) Jaennette, was born September 18, 1948 in Newton, Iowa. A lifelong resident of the Newton area, he was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1967. Steve was employed by the Maytag Company in Newton, retiring in 1993, and post retirement employer F.B.G. on September 26, 1997. He devoted his life to his family and friends, and was a member of the Local U.A.W. #997. He enjoyed playing pool, RC Radio Control Cars, out doors, fishing and racing. Steve died on Wednesday morning, October 1, 2008 at his home in Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to honor Steve's memory include his son Chad Jaennette of Chicago, Illinois; his daughter Lisa J. (Brent) Wickliff of Newton; grandson Isaac Wickliff of Newton; his brothers: Jimmi (Sharon) Jaennette of Newton, Iowa and Dennis Northcutt of Shreveport, Louisiana; and his many good neighbors and friends. Memorials to Stephen's name are being designated, and may be left at the funeral home.
