Anthony J. Oskam, age 78, of 1805-N. 23rd Ave. W., Newton died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Monarch Wing At Skiff Medical Center, Newton. Mr. Oskam was born March 22, 1929 at Nigtevecht, PROVINCE NOORD HOLLAND the son of the late Jan and the late Cornelia (Van Den Bos) Oskam. He married Bette JanetVos December 27, 1957 at Pella, Iowa. He was employed by Oskam Sign & Display, Inc. as a Owner/operator. Mr. Oskam was a member of Community Reformed Church; International Electric Sign Association; Central Sign Council & Iowa Sign Association; Rotary; Resident Advocate at Heritage Manor & Careage of Newton; Coffee groups He is survived by his wife: Bette Janet(Vos) Oskam, three daughters: Belinda & Gary Birkenholtz of Newton, IA, Kimberly & Robert Van Arkel of Newton, IA, Melissa & Randy Graff of Newton, IA and two sons: Bernard & Renee Oskam of Newton, IA, James Dale Oskam of Newton, IA Brother of one sister: Ann Van Walbeek of Otley, IA and one brother: Cornelis (Cees) Oskam of Holland Predeceased by his Great Granddaughter, Trinity Grace Oskam, Sister, Maartje Oskam Staat Calling hours will be Tuesday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 8pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 at Community Reformed Church, 2306 S. 3rd Avenue E., Newton with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Pella on Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Community Reformed Church; American Cancer Society; Hospice of Jasper County
