Jo O. Jurgens, age 89, of Newton died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Monarch Wing At Skiff Medical Center, Newton.
Mrs. Jurgens was born January 19, 1918 at Niland, CA the daughter of the late Lester and the late Gertrude (Williams) Yates. She married Floyd W.Jurgens July 19, 1970 at Newton, Iowa.
She was employed by Skiff Medical Center as a LPN.
Mrs. Jurgens was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church; Rebecca Lodge; Jasper County Senior Citizens Center
She is survived by her husband: Floyd W.Jurgensone daughter: Robeuta Nye of Round Rock, TX
Step Son, David Bettison; Step Son, Terry Smalley of Osage, IA; Step Daughter, Beverly Cross
Predeceased by her Daughter, Mikelle Vorhies, , 2 Sisters
Calling hours will be Monday from prior to services at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 501 E. 19th Street N., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 501 E. 19th Street N., Newton with Rev. John Disburg officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton on Monday at 11:30 am.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church or Jasper County Senior Citizens Center
