Carolyn L. Porter, age 65, of 729 E. 8th St. N., Newton died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Monarch Wing At Skiff Medical Center, Newton. Mrs. Porter was born June 11, 1942 at Council Bluffs, IA the daughter of the late Lyle M. and the late Mildred Arlene (Billman) Porter. She retired from Maytag Company as a Shipping/ Receiving in 1989. Mrs. Porter was a member of Newton Elks Lodge; Moose Lodge; Community Heights; Nursing Home Advocate She is survived by two daughters: Angela & Logan Van Klootwyk of Knoxville, IA, Jennifer & Jonathan Croce of Newton, IA Sister of three sisters: Barbara & Bob Gray of Newton, IA, Suzanne & Adrian Nail of Des Moines, IA, Glennys & Harold Ward of Newton, IA and one brother: Delbert & Judy Turner of Newton, IA Calling hours will be Monday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 8pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 at Community Heights Alliance Church, 2500 S. 13th Ave. E., Newton with Rev. Syd McCrorey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Newton on at . Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jasper County
