Mary Aldiene Longstreth, age 91, of 101 S. 5th Ave. E., Newton died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Monarch Wing At Skiff Medical Center, Newton. Mrs. Longstreth was born August 18, 1916 at Pollock, MO the daughter of the late Truman Totten and the late Lura Grace (Hackney) Peek. She retired from JC Penney Company as a Alterations/Cashier in 1983. Mrs. Longstreth was a member of Congregational Church She is survived by two daughters: Marcia Kearney of Newton, IA, Alvina & Alfred Johnson of Remsen, IA and two sons: James & Maria Longstreth of Mundelein, IL, Dennis & Jean Longstreth of Sitka, AK Sister of one brother: Truemaul & Marian Peek of Palo Alto, CA Sister-in-law, Bess Peek of Cedar Rapids, IA; Brother-in-law, William Albrecht of Iowa City, IA Predeceased by her Sister, Alice Parks, Sister, L. Grace Albrecht, Brother, George Peek, Brother, John Peek Calling hours will be Sunday from Visitation with the family will be from 6 - 8pm at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home, 310 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, IA. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 at Congregational United Church Of Christ, 308 E. 2nd Street N., Newton with Rev. Michael Dack, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton on Monday at 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to Congregational United Church of Christ or Hospice of Jasper County
