Obituary of Catherine K. Ocker

Catherine K. Ocker, the daughter of Nathan Henry and Blanche De Haai Kingery was born August 19, 1915 in rural Marion County, Iowa. On August 15, 1960, Catherine was united in marriage with Otis Herbert Ocker in Red Rock, Iowa. Catherine worked in the Machine Shop and in Inspection for the Maytag Company in Newton, Iowa. Catherine loved her family. She enjoyed crocheting when she was able. Catherine was a member of the U.A.W. Local #997 Retirees Union. Catherine died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa. She was 92 years old. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis, on June 20, 2001; her sisters, Marie Sowers and Martha Tennant. And a brother in infancy, Sammy Kingery. Those left to honor Catherine's memory include her son ad daughter-in-law, Raymond E. and Ann Robinson of Bedford, Iowa; her step daughters, Alberta and Gary Roderick of Tennessee and Velma Noble of Illinois; her two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and her brother Marion Kingery of Monroe, Iowa.
