Obituary of Bonnie E. Tysseling

Bonnie E. Tysseling, 88, of Newton, passed away Sunday morning, April 22, 2012, at the Park Centre Health Care. A Time of Celebration will be held at Park Centre at a later date. The Pence - Reese Funeral Home in Newton, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In LIEU of flowers, memorials in Bonnie's name are being designated. Bonnie, the daughter of Albert "Chester" Delagarde Anderson and Hazel Victoria (Skagerberg) Anderson, was born September 3, 1923, near Bricelyn, Faribault County, Minnesota. She was a graduate of the Bricelyn High School, and was employed as a secretary. On August 2, 1957, Bonnie was united in marriage with Lawrence W. Tysseling in Oskaloosa. A longtime resident of the Newton area, she had devoted her life to her family and friends. Bonnie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed her family and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lawrence on Nov. 19, 2010; her son Kenneth in infancy; a sister Betty and a brother LaMar Anderson. Those left to honor Bonnie's memory include her daughters: Kaye (Gary) Kopsa of Newton, grandsons: Austin Kopsa of Ames and Aaron Kopsa of Newton; Karen (Eric) Hansen of Galveston, TX, granddaughter Heidi (Daren) Seigel of Galveston, great-grandchildren: Quincy, Zane and Noa, and grandson Monte Hanson of Perth, Australia; Kathy (Raleigh) Childress of Goodlettsville, TN, grandson Adam (Kristen) Childress; her sister LaVonne Sylvara of Bricelyn, MN; her many nieces, nephews and friends.
