Obituary of Efrain Worthington

Humberto Efrain Worthington, 13, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1998 in La Nueva, Guatemala. The Lord brought him in to the Worthington family through adoption on October 26, 2004. Efrain attended Newton Christian School where he has many special friends. He and his family attended Covenant Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa. Efrain was a player in Newton Little League baseball where he was a member of the All Star team in 2011. He was also a member of the Pella Christian Junior High football team. It was a great joy for Efrain to play on these teams and develop many great friendships. Efrain was known for his quick smile, infectious laugh, and high energy. Efrain dearly loved his family which includes his parents, Brad and Michele Worthington; his siblings, Garrett, Moriah, Damaris, Roberto, and Reyna; his grandparents, Max and Donna Worthington of Newton and Mike and Jacquie Murphy of Newton, formerly of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; his aunts and uncles, Brian and Shanda Murphy of Bronson, Iowa, Joel and Karen Worthington of Aurora, Colorado, Cindy and Jerry Webster of Tuscon, Arizona and his special great aunt and uncle, Richard "Dick" and Sherri Downs of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Efrain was a great blessing to everyone with whom he came in contact. He will be deeply missed. His mother and grandmother in Guatemala precede Efrain in death.
