Obituary of Sondra Kay Huseboe

Sondra "Sondi" Kay Huseboe, the daughter of Hollis Everett and Myrtle Irene (Barton) Simpson, was born July 23, 1949 in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from the Newton Senior High School with the class of 1967. Sondi had worked at various businesses in her career including a home decorating and cleaning business. She currently was an owner of the Gilman Tap in Gilman, Iowa with her husband. Sondi enjoyed staying busy. She served on the Gilman City Council for many years. Other activities included knitting, crocheting, reading and gardening. Sondi died on Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at her home in Gilman. She was 62 years old. Those left to honor Sondi's memory include her sons, Lance Lindquist of Newton, IA and D.J. (Laura) Lindquist of Cedar Rapids, IA; her daughter, Tracy Evans (Mitch Davis) of Newton, IA; her four grandchildren; her brother, Gary (Diane) Simpson and her aunt and uncle, Helen and Don Barton. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, February 4th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials are being designated in Sondi's name to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and may be left at the funeral home.
