Obituary of Sindy Ann Madoll

Sindy Ann Madoll, 54, formerly of Newton, died Monday morning, Jan. 9, 2012, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Funeral services for Sindy will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with Pastor Eldon Pals, retired, officiating. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the services, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are being designated in Sindy's name. Burial will be at the Newton Union Cemetery. Sindy, the daughter of Kenneth James Madoll and Marilyn Koppin, was born Jan. 25, 1957, in Newton. She had attended Newton High School. Sindy devoted her life to her family and friends, and was a member of the Newton First Christian Church. For several years, she did custodial work for Progress Industries in Newton. A longtime resident of the Newton area, she had lived the last few years with Central Iowa Residential Services in Marshalltown. Those left to honor Sindy's memory include her mother and step-father: Marilyn and Jerry Lester of Newton; a brother William "Bill" Madoll of Newton; and her many friends in the Newton and Marshalltown area.
