Obituary of Marilyn Lynne Ware

Marilyn L. Ware, 86, of Newton, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011, in Skiff Hospice, Monarch Wing. Pence - Reese Funeral Home in Newton is handling the arrangements. Family Graveside services will be at a later date, in the Veterans section at Newton Union Cemetery. Memorials to Skiff Hospice or American Cancer Society, are being suggested. No Visitation is planned. Marilyn was born December 12, 1924, the daughter of Elbert and Pansy (Hooper) Little, in Fairfield, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Fairfield Senior High, class of 1943, and attended Western Union Trade School in Crawfordsville, Indiana. It was from there she was sent to Newton, to work at the local Western Union office. On November 3, 1944, Marilyn was united in marriage with John Jack Ware in Newton. To this union one son was born, Gary. She was a member of the Newton First Lutheran Church, for over fifty years, and enjoyed her family and reading. Marilyn is survived by her son, Gary Ware; a grandson, Jason Jay Ware of Sanford, Florida; a brother in Aurora, Colorado; two nephews and a niece; an aunt, Virginia Bush of Fairfield, Iowa; as well as numerous good neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jack on June 17, 2007. Marilyn will be remembered as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, doting grandmother, and steadfast friend to many. The radiance of her unconditional love shall be her legacy, bestowed as a gift to all who knew her.
