Obituary of Gloria Mae Stoulil
Gloria Mae Stoulil, 86, of Newton, was born December 5, 1937 in Newton. The daughter of Herbert and Minnie Edith (Colley) Corbett. She had attended the Newton Senior High School.
On December 11, 1955, Gloria was united in marriage with Barney K. Stoulil in Newton. Over the years she was employed by the Vernon Company in the paint department, retiring after 30 plus years on September 30, 1997. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends.
Gloria passed from this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Accura East Healthcare of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Barney on December 15, 2009; her grandsons: Jeffrey and James Swank; and nine brothers and sisters: Mildred Cline, Louise Dodge, Arlis Corbett, Kathryn Fields, Anna Jean Smith, Betty Cox, Helen Mick, LeRoy Corbett and Marge Harger.
A time of remembrance and a Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a visitation an hour prior to the services.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Terri Swank (Doug); her son Larry K. Stoulil (Deb); her three grandchildren: Niki, Ashley and Austin; her five great-grandchildren; a brother Bill Corbett and her many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Jasper County Court House Christmas Lights or a charity of your choosing.
