Obituary of Jeffrey Dean Miller

Jeffrey Dean Miller, 59, of Grinnell, the son of Dean F. and Sharon K. (Ford) Miller, was born August 3, 1964, in Newton.  He had attended the Newton Schools. 

   On December 30, 1982, Jeff was united in marriage with Loretta Spidell in Missouri.  He enjoyed sharing his life with his family and was employed by Lynnville Transport.  He was a member of the Hilltop Chapel Church in What Cheer, IA.

  Jeff died on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the University of Iowa City Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Irene Miller and a sister Mary Beth Miller. 

   A Celebration of Life service for Jeff will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton.

   Those left to honor Jeff’s memory include his wife Loretta; his daughters: Ashley and Amber; his son Dustin; his eight grandchildren: Evan, Daulton, Alyssa, Jackson, Colton, Kolby, Gracie, and Hope; his brothers: Tim Miller and Robbie Miller; a sister Shelley Johnson; his many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Jeff’s family or a charity of your choosing.
