Obituary of Thomas Carl Tinnermeier

Thomas Carl Tinnermeier, 77, the son of Carl Henry and Wilma (Langmaid) Tinnermeier, was born October 15, 1946, in Newton, Iowa.  He attended and graduated from the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1965.  He was employed as a custodian at Skiff-MercyOne Medical Center Newton, for 30 plus years, and also for YMCA, Maid-Rite, and Thomas Jefferson School.

  Thomas enjoyed sharing his home life with his family. 

  Thomas died on Thursday morning, October 19, 2023, at his home in Newton.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife Faye. 

  No funeral services are planned at this time at the Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton.  Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. 

  Those left to honor Thomas’ memory include his his sons: Charles (Jen) Tinnermeier of Tongson, Kansas and Todd (Erica) Tinnermeier of Newton; a daughter Lisa Wade (Mark Foster) of Newton; his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his sisters: Kathleen Jackson and June Schmidt; and his many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Thomas’ family or a charity of your choosing.
