Obituary of Michael Allen Baxter

Michael Allen Baxter, 60, the son of Ronald and Beverly (Larson) Baxter, was born May 26, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa.  He was a high school graduate. 

   Mike was united in marriage with Lou Ann Miller, on April 5, 1990, in Des Moines.  Mike died on Wednesday morning, August 30, 2023, at his home in Newton, with his family by his side. 

   He devoted his life to his family and friends, and enjoyed the outdoors and being with family and friends.

   A Memorial services for Mike will be at a later date, and the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, is handling the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Mike’s family, to help with the arrangements or to a charity of your choosing.

   He was preceded in death by his parents. 

   Those left to honor Mike’s memory include his wife Lou Ann; his children: Tina Ricardez, Michael Allen Miller and Brian Lee Miller; his six grandchildren and a Great-Granddaughter (on the way); his sisters: Tammy and Robin; his brothers: Gary, John and Mark; and his many extended family and friends.
