Obituary of Karen Leigh Roussos

Karen L. Roussos Karen passed away on September 30, 2021, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center in Newton. A Private family time of remembrance and celebration of life will be held at a later date, Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks will be encouraged.} In lieu of flowers, and as an expression of sympathy, memorials may be designated to Karen's family. Karen Leigh Roussos, 80, was born October 24, 1940, in Grinnell, the daughter of Robert A. and Della (Stewart) Breiting. She was a graduate of the Grinnell Senior High, Class of 1958. On December 27, 1967, Karen was united in marriage with Peter Steven Roussos in Kansas City. She had attended St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Newton and enjoyed singing in the choir. Karen devoted her life to her family and friends. Karen is survived by her sons: Matt Roussos and Nick (|Laura) Roussos; one grandchild; her brother Ken Breiting; and her many good neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
