John Russell Vaughn, the son of John LaVerne and Margaret Ann (McCarten) Vaughn, was born December 25, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and collecting marbles. John died Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. He was 65 years old. No public services are planned, at this time. Memorials may be sent to Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton.
