I offer my heartfelt sympathy to all family members. I was fortunate to know Marcia and teach at Lincoln School along with her. She was such a calm, sincere and caring person to students and staff! Also, she and Leo spent fun times with my Mother, Merna Kennedy, here in Newton back in the 30’s.
I was 1 of the lucky students that got to have her as a teacher at Woodrow Wilson. She was one of my favorite teachers. Due to her kindness, patience, caring about every student and willing to take the time to help each one that needed anything. You could see she taught with compassion. I wish we had a lot more teachers like her today. She was the best. Prayers to the family.
To the Harrington family my sincere sympathies, I was your mom and dad’s deacon for 6 years and visited them quite often. Always had very enjoyable talks and got to know them, I enjoyed listening to them about families and the past. Both your parents, Leo and Marcia, were great people and and were backbones of our church. They will truly be missed. They were people who lived the way Christ wants us to live, great examples to me in my faith journey. You can be very proud of them and their examples on how to live in the faith of our Savoir Jesus Christ. May they Rest In Peace in Heaven. Your in my prayers at this time of loss.
We, at Pence~Reese Funeral Home and Cremation Services, believe that serving begins with caring and that caring is an attitude of the heart. We strive to express this attitude in our lives, in our business, and with our friends.
