Elijah Scot Lewis, six week old son of Rodney Lewis and Amanda Plumb, was born March 30, 2009 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa. Elijah died on May 16, 2009 at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Elijah was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather
William Van Plumb on March 8, 1989.
Those left to honor the memory of Elijah include his parents Rodney Lewis and Amanda Plumb of Newton, brothers William Joel Lewis and Noah Charles Lewis of Newton, paternal grandmother Karla Lewis of Northwood, Iowa, maternal grandmother Kimberley Plumb of Newton, paternal great-grandparents Charles and Eleanor Lewis of Colfax, Iowa, maternal great-grandparents Bill and Jan Plumb of Newton, Mark and Cindy Faircloth of Kellogg, Iowa and Larry and Linda Land of Johnston, Iowa, aunt Hattie Lewis of Northwood, Iowa, uncles Cainen Plumb of Newton and Dylan Plumb of Newton and many other extended family members.
