Obituary of Emily Margaret Repp
Margaret went home to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Newton Village Health Care Center, under the care of Hospice.
A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation will be an hour prior to the services at the funeral home, and burial will be in the Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Margaret's family, Project AWAKE or a charity of your choosing
Emily Margaret Repp, 93, was born May 28, 1924, near Fayetteville, Georgia, the daughter of Merrill Carlton and Bertha Cornilia (Houston) Autry. She graduated from the Fayetteville High School, Class of 1941.
On February 24, 1946, Margaret was united in marriage with Fay J. Repp in Fayetteville, and moved to Newton. She was employed by Sears Roebuck in Atlanta, GA and in the office at the Maytag Company in Newton, both for a short time, but mainly devoted her life to her husband and children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed traveling and going to Texas with Fay in the winters, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Newton.
Margaret is survived by her husband, of 71 years, Fay; her daughter Marcine Longren of Newton; son Jerry Repp of Franklin, Tenn.; her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her many good neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Larry in 1952, her brother Robert Willis Autry; and three sisters: Julia Scurry, Martha Brittain and Mary Sue Peluso.
