Pam, Stacie, Shelly, David & families:
Floyd will be missed, God has gained a awesome Angel. I enjoyed waiting on him at the bank. I remember when Floyd helped his Dad build my Grandparents Frank & Alice Cooper's garage for the Jolly Wagon Karts and freezers. I also remember him playing music with my Dad Ed Mathiesen (Little Eskimo). He had a tape of them put on a CD for me. I treasure that so much to see how much fun they were having playing music. You are all in our thoughts & prayers. "Adax taligil aasal sdas ukuxtal adigal sdas aadal aga." in Aleut " Your Father dances with the stars, look at the brightest star and he'll be there."

Floyd was amazing to have here! He always had the best jokes at breakfast to start our day off laughing. He went on many outings with me and was a pure joy to be around. We all are deeply saddened by this loss but he will live in our memories and stories forever. May he rip.

Dear Shelly and ALL the family,
I am so saddened to hear about Floyd "Dink". I can honestly say that he was a great man...He made me feel alive and happy. We would go fishing just about every day , and if we weren't fishing we were planning where we were gonna go the next day. He had such a great personality always keeping us laughing with his jokes and his stories.
I remember going camping and being amazed at what he could do
and how he could make something from nothing. a regular "McGyver" I believe he could have been on one of those survival shows and win the big prizes hands down.
I feel so Blessed to have known him and all of you. Weither you know it or not, all of you showed me what love of a family is, not always perfect but the love always holding strong.
We are going to truely miss him, we talk about him often and the good times we shared. I have some really funny memories that makes me smile even now when i think of him.
God Bless ALL of you during this time of grief. I will be praying for you.....Brenda, Nate, Zachary and Vonnie

Floyd was a professional "dad joke" connoisseur, a very kind man and a lovable friend to my family and me growing up. He used to take me mushroom hunting, fishing in the brisk early hours and golf ball hunting so we could come back and practice driving in the field next to our house. Floyd had eagle eyes that could spot a morel from a mile away and the stinkiest of home made stink baits known to man for his catfishing expeditions. I cherish those memories in the roots of who I am. Floyd was a man the world lacks numbers of and I'm sad to hear of his death. My heart goes out to his family for their loss.

This is the very last time I saw my grandpa. My mom (Shelly) went and picked him up from the nursing home for his great grand son's (Harrison) birthday party. I love you Grandpa so much. I hope you catch all the big fish you can and find all the mushrooms you can fit in your bag. I miss you so much already. Rest easy Grandpa Peewee. -Marissa (Henry, Taylor, and Harrison)

This picture of Floyd and my husband Bob was taken after an all night fishing trip on the Iowa River around 15 years ago. Floyd truly loved the outdoors. He will be missed. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to his family. Bob and Tonya Guthrie

I say Dad because I have never called you anything else, I remember that sweet smile of yours, and all of the great times that we have spent together, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, but most of I will remember how sweet you were to me, my mom, & my children, those jokes that you always told us all, you dancing with Sierra on her wedding day, you Sir have changed my family but you became a part of all of us and I forever more love you for that. I remember visiting with you and mom & her asking what you wanted for supper, but I think that she already knew what you were going to say, Potato soup she use to say OH ! You and that soup go figure, so funny you and mom, she loved you dearly that never stopped but I know that you already knew that, It breaks my heart to know that
You are gone but you will always be love and remembered by me and so many others, thank you for being so sweet dad love you big, "But Jesus Loves Us More!" That's what you always told me before we hung up the phone! Rest in peace! We love you, Tanya & Don Bean, Rosalee Edwards, Nate & Sierra Durr, Liam and Lincoln, Jasmine,Sean, Andrew, Toby, Ruby, Harmony & Sydney, John, John, Jeanne Baethke White & family, Joe, Emily, Hailey White, Braxton & Joseph White.
