Obituary of Timothy Glenn Anderson

Timothy G. Anderson Tim of Newton passed from this life on Thursday evening, August 25, 2016, at Unity Point Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Timothy Glenn Anderson, 67, was born September 28, 1948, in Newton, the son of Carl R.W. Anderson and Helen "Mickey" Anderson. He graduated from the Newton Senior High, Class of 1966. Tim was united in marriage with Jill D. Lamb on August 15, 1994, in Newton, and was employed by the Maytag Company in Newton, retiring as a forklift driver. Tim enjoyed his family, trains, comic books and collecting antiques. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Tim is survived by his wife Jill; his daughter Kelly Anderson; a brother Alex P. (Barb) Anderson; his mother-in-law Marilyn Lamb; several nieces and nephews, including Aaron Anderson; his uncles, aunts and cousins; and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece Stephanie Anderson; and his father-in-law Larry Lamb. A time of remembrance and celebration of life services will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at the Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton. A visitation will be an hour prior to the services and with a coffee time following the services. Burial was in the Center Friend Cemetery, rural Newton, at a later date.
