Obituary of Mary Anne Loupee

Mary Anne Loupee, 86, the daughter of Roland and Anita (Flescher) Bansemer, was born January 17, 1938, near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Her family moved to Newton, Iowa, when she was 15.  She was a Homecoming Queen candidate her senior year at Newton Senior High School.  She graduated from Newton Senior High School with the class of 1955, and attended several years at Iowa University (University of Northern Iowa). 

Mary Anne was united in marriage with Larry C. Loupee, and this union was given two children, Margie and Mike.  She had devoted her life to her family and friends, and had attended First Lutheran Church

Mary Anne passed away Friday afternoon, February 16, 2024, at Newton Health Care, under the care of Suncrest Hospice. 

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Larry on October 2, 2019; and her daughter Margie Branderhorst.

No services are planned at this time.  Memorials are being designated, in Mary Anne’s name, (please make checks payable to Mike Loupee), and can be left at Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton

Those left to honor Mary Anne’s memory include her son, Mike (Rachel) Loupee; a son-in-law, Bill Branderhorst; her five grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice (Larry) Mosbey; and her many extended family and friends.
