Obituary of Angelina Patricia Ancer

Angelina Patricia Ancer, the daughter of Patrician Ann (Nielsen) and Steven Joseph Putz was born May 6, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from the Newton Senior High with the class of 1985. Angie was a longtime employee of Taco Johns in Newton and currently worked for Starbucks in Newton. Angie enjoyed helping others and spent time in organizing benefits and raising money for causes dear to her, such as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She could always bring a smile to the face of her friends and family. She enjoyed reading and her cat, Noah. Angie died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at her home in Newton. She was 43 years old. Those left to honor Angie's memory include her parents, Pat and Steve Putz of Newton; her brothers, David and Aron Putz of Newton; her grandparents, Don and Hilda Metz of Newton; her uncles and aunts including John and Jerri Grush of Boone, Kenneth Meyer of Newton and Martha Sign Sanze of Montezuma and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 14th at 10:30 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 until 10:30 am Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be designated to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
