Obituary of Donald Alfred Albright

Donald A. Albright, the son of William Conrad and Mabel Bessie (Fletcher) Albright, was born September 21, 1917 in Merrill, Iowa. He graduated from Merrill High School in 1936. Don served his country in the Unites States Army during World War II. On June 1, 1947, Don was united in marriage with Alice Aletia Cross in Newton, Iowa. Don had worked as a Tool and Die Maker and in the office for the Maytag Company. He enjoyed camping in the outdoors and loved being with his family. Don died on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Hospice of Jasper County Monarch Wing in Newton. He was 93 years old. Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice, on August 17, 2006 and a sister, Wilma Lundy. Those left to honor Don's memory include his son, Kirk (Kim) Albright of Fargo, ND; his daughters, Tanya (Jon) Lorence of Houston, TX and Tina (Tom) Hinrichs of Vadnais Heights, MN; his grandchildren, Alison (Nick) Egger, Jordan, Justin and Jennie; his great grandson, Leighton and his sister, Ruth Fry of Tucson, AZ. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, October 4th at the Newton Union Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the Hospice of Jasper County Monarch Wing and may be left at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home.
