Obituary of Beulah Knapp
Beulah K. Knapp, the daughter of Charles Monroe and Joise Belle (Nation) Kent, was born October 15, 1918 in rural Jasper County, Iowa. She attended the Newton Senior High School. Beulah had worked as a clerk in several grocery and clothing stores, over the years. She enjoyed being with her family, visiting and showing kindness to others, crocheting, embroidering, seek and find puzzles and watching t.v.
Beulah died on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehab Center in Clarion, Iowa. She was 98 years old. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; her son Larry Dean Knapp in 2006; her daughter, Peggy Alspach in 2008; her brothers and sisters, Charles Kent, Merle Kent, Floyd Kent, Gladys Murphy, Edwin Clare, Ora Jones, Alma Krumm, Nellie Norman and Leonard Kent.
Those left to honor Beulah’s memory include her son-in-law, John Alspach; her seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchild.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton, Iowa.
