Obituary of Glen Leroy Sparks

Glen L. Sparks, the son of Charles M. and Eva B. Dye Sparks, was born January 4, 1930 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. On August 27, 1956, Glen was united in marriage with Agnes Marie Kirk in Oskaloosa. He worked for the Maytag Company 32 years in the Tool and Dye and Porcelain Departments. He also had worked for FGB Cleaning and as a greeter at Wal-Mart. Glen was a past member of the Newton V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed word searches, camping, fishing and bowling.
Glen died on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. He was 80 years old. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes on May 19, 2005; his five brothers and his four sisters.
Those left to honor Glen's memory include his son, Carroll (Missy) Sparks of Newton; his daughters, Roxanne Snook and Tammy Sparks of Newton; his nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
