Obituary of Laura May Kittle

Laura May Kittle, 75, of Newton, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Newton.

Laura was born on July 27, 1950, in Morehead, Minnesota, to Alvin and Francis (Beeks) Straight. She was united in marriage to Larry Kittle in Elgin, Oregon, and they shared many years together until his passing in 2014.

While living at Accura Healthcare, Laura found joy and comfort in attending church services. She loved spending her time beading, coloring, playing bingo, and crocheting—especially making doilies to share with others.

Laura is survived by her brothers Patrick (Gloria) Straight, Bill Straight, Gus (Laura) Straight, and Joseph Straight; and her sister Cora Dian Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, and her brother Lewis James Straight.

A celebration of life for Laura will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Newton East.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorials be directed to Gus Straight to assist with funeral expenses.
