Obituary of Vickie Krystopolski Vogt

Vickie Krystopolski Vogt, 65, of Newton, Iowa, passed away on June 3, 2025, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Vickie was born on November 23, 1959, in Des Moines to Eugene John Krystopolski and Betty Jean (Haniszewski) Krystopolski. She grew up in Newton, graduating with the Class of 1978 from Newton High School.

Throughout her career, Vickie worked as an office clerk in a number of firms, most notably spending 14 years with Brooker Plumbing and Heating, where she was known for her dedication and kind spirit.

On June 12, 1986, she married Brian Vogt in Des Moines, and together they built a life filled with love and family. Vickie especially cherished her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She had a passion for crafting and a lifelong fondness for cats—her home was never without a furry companion or two.

Vickie believed deeply in giving back, even in passing. Her family has long embraced the life-changing power of anatomical donation, and Vickie continued that legacy. She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Vogt; her mother, Betty Krystopolski; her sister, Paula Krystopolski; her two sons; her daughter; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene.
