Evelyn of Newton passed from this life on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at MercyOne Newton.

Evelyn Mae Tedrow, 83, was born May 7, 1938, near Colfax, the daughter of Gail Willis and Opal (Meece) Fields. She graduated from Colfax High School, Class of 1955.

On March 2, 1957, Evelyn was united in marriage with Loren James Tedrow in Colfax. She devoted her life to her husband, children and family. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and friend, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Renee Tedrow; sons: Brian Tedrow and Robert Tedrow; three grandchildren: including Ryan Tedrow and Colton Umbarger; a daughter-in-law Roxene Tedrow; and her many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Loren on February 1, 2014; and her two sons, Mike Tedrow and Doug Tedrow.

A time of remembrance and funeral services will be 11:00am, Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation will be one hour 10am until 11am, prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to her family or a charity of your choosing.
