I remember Robert for the kind gentleman who shared a special bond with our daughter, Kim, for many years. I will share one story that always reminds me of him: Several times Robert would entrust our family with his precious pet guinea pigs when vacationing with his father. I was so surprised at the abundant personalities those little critters had. Most surprising was the amount of noise they exerted when they wanted carrots. Their gleeful grunts were heard every time we went to the refrigerator. Now, those adorable sounds of Robert’s pets still echo through the house occasionally; as our parrot mimics their noises excellently and this always brings a smile to my face and the thought of our dear friend Robert.
