Marian passed away, Friday morning, July 24, 2020, at Newton Village Health Care in Newton.

Graveside funeral services for Marian will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Newton Union Cemetery. The Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation at the funeral home, with the family will be just prior to the graveside services {Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, facemasks are encouraged at the services.} In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated in Marian's memory to K-LOVE Radio or a charity of your choosing.

Marian Louise Griffith, 90, the daughter of John Edward and Mary (Mellick) Griffith, was born January 28, 1930, in Newton. She was a graduate of the Newton Senior High, Class of 1949. She later graduated from Mercidian School of Practical Nursing at Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown. She was employed as an LP Nurse at Skiff Medical Center and area nursing homes, lastly at Heritage Manor. She attended the Community of Christ Church in Newton and a member of the Iowa Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses.

She had devoted her life to her family and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Evelyn Griffith.

Those left to honor her memory include her many friends and extended relatives.
