Florence went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday evening, September 25, 2019, at MercyOne Newton.

A time of remembrance and Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2019, at the St. John's Cemetery in rural Newton. Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, are entrusted with the arrangements. There will be a time fellowship and refreshments to follow, at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to Progress Industries or to a charity of your choosing.

Florence M. Ebert, 99, the daughter of Henry C. and Marie "Mary" (Eilert) Ebert, was born February 7, 1920, in Mariposa Township, Jasper County, Iowa. She had attended the Mariposa #9 Country School.

Florence had always helped her parents and family on the family farm, the place of her birth. She was confirmed and a member at St. John's United Church of Christ and later Zoar Church, both in rural Newton. She enjoyed attending the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church in Newton, and keeping and caring for her home.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Carl Ebert; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her cousins; and many good neighbors and friends.
