Obituary of James Carson Johnston

James Carson Johnston, the son of Norman and Lila K. (West) Johnston, was born April 5, 1956 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois. Jim worked as a mail sorter for the United States Postal Service. Jim enjoyed swimming, watching football, spending time outside, playing video games and listening to music.
Jim died on Monday, March 18, 2019 at his home in Grinnell, Iowa. He was 62 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to honor Jim’s memory include his sister, Anne Johnston; his nieces, Rachel Romero and Sarah Sanchez; his nephews, Michael Aguierre and Chris Fee.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton.
