Ron and Linda (Skiff Medical Center), put my wife and I up in a bed and breakfast when they were recruiting me as a rehab director back in 1994. Ron and Linda were very personable and down to earth and we loved them! We stayed in Newton for 22.5 years because of the foundation that they've laid. I remember telling Ron in 1996 when he announced his retirement and was diagnosed with cancer (with tears in my eyes), that he was the best leader I've ever known. I visited him when he was in the hospital in Des Moines and he and Linda treated me like family. I hope that I would have made Ron proud that I would follow in his footsteps as a Skiff's President & CEO and later as the CEO of Cass Health in Atlantic, where Linda graduated high school. I love and will always remember these two very special people! May God bless you all!

I have been thinking about Linda the last couple of months and decided to see if there was anything on FB. I am so shocked to see the news of her death! I met Linda in Atlantic, Iowa, in the early 1960's, and she was one of my first roommates. We both went different directions but managed to stay in touch and pick up where we left off from each time. Our last meeting was her class reunion in Atlantic. I drove over to meet her and have lunch and an afternoon of conversation. What a great long time friend and special family! She, her Grandma and I all traveled to McAllen, Texas and spent a couple of months in 1963 or 1964. My condolences and blessings to you all.

Linda's Family,
I was very fond of generous, hardworking, and talented Linda! I enjoyed being in her line dancing class at the Newton YMCA and being in P.E.O. HS with her! She led efforts for the past three or four years to raise additional funds for charitable purposes through our garage sale and was always among the first to volunteer for any good cause! Great person! I will really miss her!

So very sorry to hear about Linda. We met line dancing in Gulf Shores quite a few years ago. She always loved dancing, rarely missing a class, and we all were so surprised to hear why she would not be joining us again this year. RIP Linda and I'm hoping you are dancing once again.

One of Linda’s many talents was her incredible creativity. She could do anything with a piece of fabric as evidence by her quilting, sewing, knitting and she enjoyed dabbling with ceramics or any other projects she found interesting. Linda filled her life with fun enjoying volunteering, dancing, reading and many groups of friends for coffee or games. She was an excellent partner to my father and balanced him with humor and light in their adventures.

Linda was an incredibly talented and creative person. She surrounded herself with interesting people and beautiful things like her textile art and memory items (photos, shells and beads!). I will miss her kindness, positive outlook and sense of humor greatly, and feel so lucky to have had her as a stepmother for so many years. Thanks to those of you sharing memories, it's a wonderful gift.

We met both Michal and Linda 8 years ago down at Silver Beach Condo in Orange Beach, Alabma. They were great friends and I enjoyed the many days both of them would stop by while fishing the shoreline and chat about everything while taking a walk down the beach. Both were missed terribly by all this past year, our condolences to your entire family. Both had smiles that would make you feel welcome and appreciated. God Bless.

My condolences to the family. These words helped me 7 months ago....
....that God knows the way we all have to go through, and only Him is capable to give you and your family the strength in this hard, maybe the hardest moment of your life. Hold onto His hand and He’ll help you and your family. The endless suffering that you’re in now will transform in a greatest love for a person who gave you life, love and contributed immensely for what you’re now.

I only met Linda a few years ago thru their quilt guild and there retreats.
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of this dear sweet lady.
I so enjoyed her humor, her quilting, and being in her presence. I always enjoyed her little remarks about quilting and watching her with her daughter Sherry.
I am so sorry for your loss
