Obituary of Mary Jo Greve

   Mary Jo Greve, the daughter of Lewis E. and Anabelle (Striley) Knight, was born December 19, 1932, in Clinton, Iowa.  She graduated from the Clinton Senior High School with the class of 1950.

On January 20, 1952, Mary Jo was united in marriage with Arthur J. “Jim” Greve in Clinton, Iowa.  Mary Jo devoted her life to her husband and family.  She had worked at Power Drug and as a detail artist for Neal Deaton.  She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Good Cheer Club.  She was a past PTA President and past Police Wives Auxiliary President.  Mary Jo was a local Avon Lady for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

   Mary Jo died on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Park Centre Care Center in Newton, Iowa.  She was 85 years old.  Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur J. “Jim” Greve; a son, Richard Greve and her three brothers, Jim Knight, Mike Knight and Wayne Knight.

   Those left to honor Mary Jo’s memory include her sons Arthur (Rhonda) Greve, Thomas Greve and Brian Greve; her daughters Deborah (Keith) Line and Judy (Tom) Rodewald; her seven grandchildren Samantha Hover, Ricky Stuhldryer, Katie Rodewald, Anna Rodewald, Gavin Rodewald, Kyle Greve, Timothy Greve, Grant Poulson and several great-grandchildren, all of whom were well loved by Mary Jo.

   Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Newton.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday July 31^st at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton.  Memorials may be designated in Mary Jo’s name and may be left at the church or at the funeral home.
