Obituary of Kevin Eugene Orndorff

Kevin Eugene Orndorff, 48, passed away Saturday evening, July 26, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-West Lakes, in West Des Moines. Funeral arrangements for Kevin are being handled by Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, who have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kevin's name: are being designated to his family. Graveside services and burial will be at a later date, in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Kevin, the son of Robert Lee Orndorff and Mary Louise (Woodley) Orndorff, was born February 16, 1966, in Missouri. He had lived most of his life in the Jasper County area, around Newton, where he had attended school. Kevin devoted his life to his family and friends, and was a member of Optimae Life Services in Newton. He enjoyed the outdoors and helping others. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Robert Lee, a sister Reta in 2006; and his grandparents. Those left to honor Kevin's memory include his mother Mary Seals of Centerville; his sister Veta Elam of Newton; a brother Ron Orndorff of Red Oak; his nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; and his many friends.
