Obituary of Eloise Mae Krajnovich

Eloise Mae Krajnovich, 97, was born May 12, 1919, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Kennedy) Davis. She was a graduate of the Clinton Senior High School. In 1938, Eloise was united in marriage with Eli John Krajnovich. She was employed by the Vernon Company in Newton for 25 years, retiring in April 1986 as a Proofreader. Eliose was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, dancing with Eli, books and baking for her family, and was a longtime member of the Newton First Presbyterian Church. Eloise Mae, of Newton, passed from this life on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Newton Village Care Center. Eloise is survived by her son Ronald E. (Sandy) Krajnovich; daughter Carol Lucas; four grandchildren: Nicole (Lucas) Mercer, Natalie (Lucas) Goodin, Kristopher Krajnovich and Timothy Krajnovich; great-grandchildren: Lucas Mercer and Lauren Mercer; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eli; and a son-in-law Jerry Lucas. The Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Newton Village, with Chaplain Bob Spiler conducting the services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family in Eloise’s name or a charity of your choosing.
