Mary Janet Creech, age 78, of Newton died Monday, May 16, 2016 at Mitchell Village Care Center of Mitchellville, IA. Mrs. Creech was born January 2, 1938 in Newton, IA. She is the daughter of the late James Elias and the late Arlene Florance (Rose) Madoll. She married Leslie Gene Creech on December 17, 1957 at Chicago, Il. She was employed by the Vernon Company in Newton, United Telephone, Newton Motor Inn and Newton Manufacturing.. She is survived by her husband: Leslie Gene Creech;. her Son: Leslie (Mary) Creech of Newton; her daughters: Teresa (Geno) Dennison of Port Byron, IL; Jackie Creech of Newton; and Carmen (Mike) Nida-Cuesta of Clive, IA; 6 grandchildren: Ronnie, Stephanie, Josh, Lindsay, Erica, and Micheal, five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; Two Brothers: Jim and John Madoll both of Minnesota; and several cousins; and friends. She was preceded by: parents and a sister Dorothy Madoll. The graveside and burial will be 4:00p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Newton Union Cemetery. A time of remembrance and fellowship will be at 5p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at the home of Carmen Nida-Cuesta (Mary’s daughter), @ 1559-NW 80th Street, Clive, IA. Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton, are entrusted with the arrangements.
