Marty, Mark, Jon, and families; Bob and I would like to send our deepest sympathies to ALL of you at this difficult time. Your Mother was a special person, and she did so many kind acts for so many people. She loved to golf, and was always ready for a laugh. The fun times we shared with your family as friends and neighbors will not be forgotten. May you find comfort in the memories which now have become treasures that you may keep in your hearts forever.

Your family doesn't know me but Betty was my mother's 'best friend' and then became mine. In fact, I got an email from her last week and her passing shocked me!. I moved back to Newton in 2002 and met Betty thru my mom (Louise Mickle) so for years we would all play pinochle 2gether or she, mom and I would go to casino. When my mom passed in 2008 Betty helped me through that. I loved her. Many blessings. I hope she, mom and their other card playing friends are in heaven playing pinochole! Marty, Mark, Jon and family. I will never forget Betty during my younger days when Jon and I were on a little league team together and her and Carl would come and watch Jon play. She was such a nice lady and will be forever missed by the many she has touched through the years. The world has lost someone who can never be replaced. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad time.

My cousin Betty and I were young children together, and we were lucky enough to renew our friendship again in the last few years, to our great delight. I'm proud to say I'm John McConeghey's sister and Betty Hofferrt's cousin. I loved them both. I am a lucky person and have fabulous relatives . .. who are sorely missed.

Betty is a dear friend, and I will miss her deeply. The smiles she brought to our home the past few years were many. Always ... a dear friend. Can only imagine that Betty and Carl are looking down on us and Carl saying "well...I'll be jiggered!" Love to the family

Betty and I met when your father was at Willowbrook and we have been friends ever since. I was the nurse there at the time and your Mom gave many voluteer hours to help with projects I had going on, not to mention all the other things she did to help the clients and staff there. She was an email "buddy" and even when we didn't see each other for awhile, she was always "on line" for her friends and family. She was an awesome lady and she will be missed. I am keeping your family in my prayers.
