Biography

Robert Franklin Allen, 52, of Newton, the son of Robert F. and Laura J. (Wilkin) Allen, was born January 31, 1958 in Ames, IA. He was a graduate of the Ames Senior High, Class of 1976.
A longtime resident of the Ames area, Bob moved to Newton, IA in 2000. He was employed as a clerk by the Wal-Mart Superstore in Newton. He had devoted his life to his family and friends. Bob enjoyed his cat, going to the Y.M.C.A. and playing video games.
Bob died on Thursday evening, Feb. 4, 2010, at his home in Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Time of Fellowship and Celebration of Bob's Life will be 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon, Saturday, Feb. 20 in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church's Fellowship Hall in Newton. The Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Those left to honor Bob's memory include his brother Michael Allen of Rockford, Minnesota; his sister Randi Allen-Martin of Madrid, Iowa; and his many friends.

I knew Bob before he moved to Newton and enjoyed seeing him light up when he talked about his cat, Jasmine. He was a treasure and will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Me and Robert always had a on going joke about our names because he was Robert Allen and I was Robert Allen Miller. I worked eight years with him and he always made the day Go faster. I will miss him greatly. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Robert, How do I even begin to some up just how much you touched our lifes.You where a dear friend you where like a brother to me. I find it hard to go past electronics dept.
